Overview
“Prem Sandesh” (Message of Love) contains the Gospels of Matthew and Mark in the Ahirani language, published in 2020 by The Word for the World International and Ahirani Christi Iswari Mandli in Sakri, Dhule, Maharashtra. Ahirani is an Indo-Aryan language of the Khandeshi group spoken by approximately 1,640,000 people in the Khandesh region of Maharashtra, primarily in Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, and parts of Nasik and Aurangabad districts. [1] This is a Gospels portion (44 pages) rather than a complete New Testament, written in Devanagari script. [2]
