The Open Chambeali Bible is a New Testament translation in the Chambeali language, published by The Love Fellowship and copyrighted by Bridge Connectivity Solutions. [1] Chambeali is a Western Pahari language spoken by approximately 126,000 people in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India, and also in parts of Jammu and Kashmir. [2] The translation was released in Devanagari script and made available on the YouVersion Bible App under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. [1] Language-specific resources including Scripture portions, audio recordings, and LUMO Gospel Films are distributed through the chambeali.in website, which is sponsored by Operation Agape. [3] The translation is part of a broader initiative by The Love Fellowship to produce Scripture in multiple Western Pahari languages of the Himalayan region. [4]
