Palantla Chinantec New Testament (CPATBL)
Overview
The Palantla Chinantec New Testament was published in 1973 by Liga Biblica Internacional, with text copyright held by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] It is one of the earliest completed Chinantec-language New Testaments. Audio recordings of the translation were produced in 2008 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [2] Palantla Chinantec (also called Chinanteco de San Pedro Tlatepuzco) is a Chinantecan language of the Oto-Manguean family spoken in San Juan Palantla and approximately two dozen neighboring towns in northern Oaxaca, Mexico. [2] A complete Old Testament has not yet been translated.

Palantla Chinantec (ISO 639-3: cpa) is a Chinantecan language spoken by approximately 1,500 people in San Juan Palantla and surrounding communities in northern Oaxaca state, Mexico. [2] It belongs to the Oto-Manguean language family. [Glottolog: pala1351]
