Bible Portions in Apal

Bible Portions in Apal (ENAPBT)

Overview

The Bible Portions in Apal (also called Apali) contain the New Testament and Genesis, published in 2014 by Pioneer Bible Translators. The translation work among the Apal people was led by Martha Wade, who began serving with Pioneer Bible Translators among the Apal community in 1985, working with mother-tongue translators to produce Scripture and literacy materials in the Apal language. [1] The completed Apal Scriptures were presented to the Museum of the Bible by PBT president Greg Pruett. [2] The Apal people live in small villages in the tropical rainforest of Papua New Guinea’s Madang Province.
