Chhattisgarhi New Testament (HNEOCV)
Overview
The Chhattisgarhi New Testament is a contemporary translation published by Biblica, Inc., also known as the Open Chhattisgarhi Contemporary Version (OSCA). Translation work began in 2014, and the New Testament was released in 2018, making it one of the first Scripture portions available in the Chhattisgarhi language. [1] After the New Testament was uploaded to the YouVersion Bible app, it received over 600,000 chapter and audio requests. [1] Work on the Old Testament continued with a target release in 2024. [1] The translation is written in Devanagari script and uses a contemporary style intended to resonate with younger Chhattisgarhi speakers.
