Overview

The Juang New Testament was published in 2016 in the Odia (Oriya) script. The Juang are an Austroasiatic (Munda-Santal) people living in the Keonjhar, Angul, and Dhenkanal districts of Odisha, India, with approximately 30,400 speakers. [1] The Juang are classified as a “scheduled tribe” in India. The first Juang conversion to Christianity came in 1995, and audio Scriptures play a significant role given the largely illiterate community. [1]
