Overview
The Manga Kanuri Translation (vernacular title: Kànùrí Kìtâwù) contains Scripture portions in Manga Kanuri, a variety of the Kanuri language belonging to the Saharan branch of the Nilo-Saharan family. [1] [2] Manga Kanuri is spoken primarily in the Zinder and Diffa regions of Niger and in Yobe, Jigawa, and Bauchi States of Nigeria. [1] The translation was produced by SIM International and covers selected portions of the Bible. The Manga Kanuri people are predominantly Muslim, and this translation represents one of the few Scripture resources available in this language variety. [3]
