Overview

The Open Outer Seraji Bible is a New Testament translation (with Genesis) in the Kullu Pahari language, specifically the Outer Seraji dialect, published by The Love Fellowship and copyrighted by Bridge Connectivity Solutions. [1] Kullu Pahari (also known as Kullui or Kulvi) is a Western Pahari language spoken by approximately 195,000 people in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. The Outer Seraji dialect is spoken in the Ani and Nirmand tehsils of the district. [2] The translation was released in Devanagari script under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license, with USFM source files published on GitHub in early 2017. [3] An audio recording of the New Testament was produced by Davar Partners International in 2022. [4] The translation is part of a broader initiative by The Love Fellowship to produce Scripture in multiple Western Pahari languages of the Himalayan region, including Chambeali, Mandeali, Kangri, and Gaddi. Kullu Pahari (ISO 639-3: kfx) is spoken by approximately 195,000 people in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. The language has three main dialects: Kullui (spoken in the Kullu Valley), Inner Seraji (spoken in Banjar Tehsil), and Outer Seraji (spoken in Ani and Nirmand tehsils).
