Overview

The New Testament in the Kupsabiny language, published in 1995 by the Bible Society of Uganda. Kupsabiny (also known as Kupsapiiny or Sebei) is a Southern Nilotic language of the Kalenjin group, spoken by the Sabiny (Sebei) people who live on the southeastern slopes of Mount Elgon in the districts of Kapchorwa, Kween, and Bukwo in eastern Uganda. [1][2] The language has been written in Latin script since 1975, with an orthography revision in 2010. [3] Bible translation work in Kupsabiny continues, with the Bible Society of Uganda coordinating ongoing efforts toward a complete Bible. [4]
