Overview

The Matumbi Bible (Injili ya Yesu) contains Scripture portions published in 2019 by Pioneer Bible Translators’ East Africa Branch. The Matumbi people live in the Pwani and Lindi regions along the coast of Tanzania. [1] Pioneer Bible Translators has been conducting linguistic fieldwork and translation in the Matumbi language as part of their broader work among minority language communities in Tanzania. [2] The translation is available in both print and digital formats, including a mobile app that allows readers to compare Matumbi and Swahili texts. [1]
