The Open Mandeali Bible is a New Testament translation in the Mandeali language, published by The Love Fellowship and copyrighted by Bridge Connectivity Solutions. [1] Mandeali is a Western Pahari language spoken by approximately 623,000 people in the Mandi district of central Himachal Pradesh, India. [2] The translation was released in Devanagari script under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. [1] Language-specific resources including Scripture, audio recordings, and cultural materials are distributed through the mandeali.in website, which is sponsored by Operation Agape. [3] The translation is part of a broader initiative by The Love Fellowship to produce Scripture in multiple Western Pahari languages of the Himalayan region, including Chambeali, Kullu Pahari, Kangri, and Gaddi. Mandeali (ISO 639-3: mjl) is spoken by approximately 623,000 people in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It belongs to the North-Western branch of the Western Pahari group of Indo-Aryan languages and is closely related to Kangri, Chambeali, and other Western Pahari languages.
