Today's Mongondow Portions

Today’s Mongondow Portions (MOGLAI)

Overview

The Alkitab Singog In Mongondow Masa In Tanaa is the New Testament in the Mongondow language, published in 2006 by the Indonesian Bible Society (Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia). [1] Mongondow is spoken in the Bolaang Mongondow regencies of North Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The Mongondow people are predominantly Muslim, with Islam having been introduced through the Gorontalo region during the era of the Mongondow kingdom. [2] A Christian minority of approximately 10 percent exists within the Mongondow community, part of the broader Christian presence in North Sulawesi where about two-thirds of the provincial population adheres to Christianity. [2] This translation provides Mongondow-speaking Christians with Scripture in their vernacular language rather than relying solely on the national-language Indonesian Bible.
