Mwera Bible (MWEMGA)

Overview

The Mwera New Testament (Malagano ga Ambi) was published in 2019, a joint effort of Pioneer Bible Translators and The Word for the World. [1] The Mwera (Chimwera) language is spoken by the Mwera people, a Bantu ethnic group in southeastern Tanzania. The translation was part of a cluster of ten Tanzanian minority-language Bible translation projects launched between 2004 and 2008 through the partnership of Pioneer Bible Translators and The Word for the World, with start-up costs provided by TWFTW.
