Saisai Matthew and Ephesians

Saisai Matthew and Ephesians (NMWSWB)

Overview

Matthew and Ephesians in the Saisai dialect of the Nimoa language, also called the Rifao language, of Papua New Guinea. Nimoa (or Rifao) is an Oceanic language belonging to the Austronesian family, classified within the Kilivila-Louisiades branch of the Papuan Tip cluster [1][2]. It is spoken on Nimoa Island and neighboring islands in the Misima District of Milne Bay Province, in an island group west of Sudest Island [1][2]. This 2016 publication by Wycliffe Bible Translators contains Scripture portions — the Gospel of Matthew and the Epistle to the Ephesians — representing an early stage of Bible translation for this small language community [3].
