Northern Thai Lanna Bible Translation

Northern Thai Lanna Bible Translation (NODWBT)

Overview

The Northern Thai New Testament (พระคริสตธรรมคัมภีร ภาคพันธสัญญาใหม) is a 2017 translation published by Wycliffe Bible Translators for speakers of Northern Thai (also known as Lanna, Tai Yuan, or Khon Mueang), a language with approximately 7.8 million speakers primarily in northern Thailand. [1][2] The text is rendered in Thai script rather than the traditional Tai Tham (Lanna) script. Earlier scripture portions in Northern Thai date back to 1867, but the complete New Testament was not finished until 2017. [1]
