Overview

The Revised Oriya Bible is the Indian Revised Version (IRV) of the full Bible in the Odia language, produced by Bridge Connectivity Solutions Pvt. Ltd. of New Delhi and published in 2017. [1] Odia (formerly called Oriya) is the official language of the Indian state of Odisha, spoken by approximately 35 million people. The IRV is part of a multi-language open-access Bible translation project by Bridge Connectivity Solutions covering numerous Indian languages, released under a Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 license. [1] The translation process involved initial drafting by mother-tongue translators, followed by community church review, local theological and linguistic consultant checks, and church network leadership verification. [1]
