The Door Swahili Bible (SWHULB)
Overview
The Swahili Unlocked Literal Bible (Biblia Takatifu) is an open-licensed Swahili translation published in 2019 by the Door43 World Missions Community. [1] It is part of the unfoldingWord project, which aims to provide unrestricted biblical content in every language by creating form-centric (“literal”) translations that can be freely shared and adapted. [2] The translation was produced collaboratively by over 50 translators and reviewers, including pastors and evangelists from Tanzania and other Swahili-speaking regions. [1] It is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA), allowing redistribution and adaptation with attribution. [1]
