Overview
The New Testament in Haruai was published in 2016 by Wycliffe Bible Translators and The Bible League. Haruai (also known as Waibuk) is one of two languages in the Piawi language family, spoken by approximately 2,000 people in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. [1] The Haruai New Testament was developed in connection with the Kobon translation project; Pastor John Davies and his wife Maila served the Kobon people for over 40 years, and the Kobon New Testament then served as a source text for translations into neighboring Haruai and Minimib languages. [1]
