Tombonuo 2002 Edition (TXATBL)
Overview
The Tombonuo 2002 Edition, titled Tinongaran Nu Kinoringan, is a New Testament translation in the Tombonuo language of Sabah, Malaysia. [1] It was published in 2002 by the Bible Society of Malaysia in collaboration with the Sabah Council of Churches. Tombonuo is a Paitanic language of the Austronesian family, spoken by indigenous communities in the Pitas and Labuk-Sugut districts of northern Sabah on the island of Borneo. [2] Although the Tombonuo people are sometimes grouped under the broader Dusun ethnic category, their language is linguistically distinct, belonging to the Paitanic rather than the Dusunic branch. [2]
