Overview

The Open Kangri Bible is a New Testament translation in the Kangri language, published in 2017 by Bridge Connectivity Solutions as part of their initiative to produce openly licensed Scripture in Indian languages. [1] Kangri is a Western Pahari language spoken by approximately 1.1 million people in the Kangra, Hamirpur, and Una districts of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. [2] The translation is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license, allowing free redistribution and adaptation. [3] The text is available digitally through the Free Bibles India platform and as a mobile app.
