Overview
The Lokaa New Testament was published in 2006 by the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust. Lokaa (also spelled Lokạạ) is the language of the Yakurr people of Cross River State, Nigeria, and is the second most widely spoken language in the state. [1] Bible portions in Lokaa were available as early as 1967, with additional portions published through 1984, before the complete New Testament was published. [2] Old Testament translation checking in Lokaa is being carried out by Uche Aaron, a retired NBTT translation consultant working with the Seed Company. [3]
