Overview

The New Testament in the Yamano dialect of Yessan-Mayo was published in 1980 by Lutheran Bible Translators, with a revised edition copyrighted in 2004. The translation was dedicated on November 1, 1980, with the community inviting supporters to a celebration and feast. [1] The Yessan-Mayo people live in East Sepik and Sandaun provinces of Papua New Guinea, in approximately ten villages south of the Mehek area. [2]
