Overview

The New Testament and Psalms in Tabaa Zapotec was completed in 1981 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. Tabaa Zapotec, also known as Central Villa Alta Zapotec, is spoken by approximately 2,000 people in San Juan Tabaa, Villa Alta District, in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, Mexico. Robert Earl, an SIL linguist, produced a grammar of the language (“Gramática del Zapoteco de Tabaa”) as part of the broader linguistic documentation effort. [1]
