Choapan Zapotec New Testament (ZPCTBL)
Overview
The Choapan Zapotec New Testament was completed in 1986 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, making it the first Scripture published in the Choapan Zapotec language. Choapan Zapotec is spoken by approximately 12,000 people in the Sierra Norte region of Oaxaca and parts of Veracruz, Mexico, with two main dialects: Choapan and Comaltepec. Bible portions in the language were available as early as 1965, with the full New Testament following in 1986. [1]
