Santa María Quiegolani Zapotec New Testament (ZPIWYI)
Overview
The Santa María Quiegolani Zapotec New Testament was completed in 2010 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. The translation involved Randall and Susan Regnier, SIL linguists who worked on the Quiegolani Zapotec language from the late 1980s onward. [1] Randy Regnier developed a computer adaptation approach to convert Scripture from the related Isthmus Zapotec into Quiegolani Zapotec using computational disambiguation tools. [2] Susan Regnier authored a phonology of the language (1993) and compiled a Zapotec alphabet guide (2012). [1] Cheryl A. Black also contributed extensive syntactic analysis, publishing a monograph on Quiegolani Zapotec syntax. [3]
