Overview
The Gospel in Xanaguía Zapoteco is a New Testament translation in the Southern Rincón Zapotec language, completed in 1992 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. Southern Rincón Zapotec is spoken by approximately 12,000 people in the Sierra Norte region of Oaxaca, Mexico, and is distinct from the related Rincón Zapotec (ISO: zar) spoken further north in the Villa Alta District. The Xanaguía community in the Southern Rincón area is the primary dialect base for the translation.
