New Testament and Psalms in Quioquitani-Quierí (ZTQTBL)

Overview

The New Testament and Psalms in Quioquitani-Quierí Zapotec was first published in 2000 by La Liga Bíblica Internacional, with a revised copyright in 2009 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] Scripture portions in the language were available from 1990. [1] The language is spoken in Santa Catarina Quioquitani and surrounding communities in the San Carlos Yautepec District, in the mountains south of Oaxaca City. Michael Ward contributed to the linguistic documentation of the language through SIL International. [2]

Quioquitani-Quierí Zapotec (ISO 639-3: ztq) is spoken by approximately 4,000 people in Southern Central Mexico. [Glottolog: quio1241]
